Additional comments for Brakes in Colvin Elmwood NY:
Kevin the manager provided me Great Service on my 2005 Lincoln Town car. I had made an appointment to have my front brakes done, as they were shot. When Kevin inspected my car for other issues, he found and showed me that my rear brakes were also bad. Everything else looked good, so I told Kevin to go ahead and do the rear brakes too. Kevin was excellent and I don't know how he got it all done, since it was only him doing brake work. The other two employees he had working with him couldn't do brakes. The one guy was doing alignments and the other tires and being cashier. Obviously, Kevin's shop needs more employees. A number of customers stopped in for work and all he could tell them was they could leave their car, but all left except one who waited too. That and another left their car for tires. You could see Kevin felt bad for the other drop in customers, but with Kevin being the only one there to do actual mechanical work, I couldn't see how he couldn't get to others. My car alone tied him up a bit with replacing all my rotors and brake pads, that where rusted and hard to get off. Kevin did do another brake job between mine while waiting for parts. As I said mine is a 2005. Even though my car body looks great, with the winters here in Syracuse, does a number to the undercarriage and wheels. Kevin is an Excellent Employee and totally satisfied with his work, but he can only do so much. He Needs more employees to assist him so his shop can service more customers. Can't imagine how much Kevin's shop is losing money due to the fact he does not have the employees to meet the demand. Also, since I ran across the street to grab something at Byrne Dairy, I notice the help wanted sign, where no one, except someone crossing the street, would never see it. No one driving by is going to see it. I mentioned it to Kevin, but he said that's where corporate place the sign for help. I suggest you actually place a sign on the building or the large light up sign in front on the pole, so people can see the help wanted sign. By the way, Kevin didn't stop working for a break or anything and just continued working on cars while I was there for 5 hours plus, due to the extra work I had Kevin do. I am so glad Kevin found the rear brakes were bad. It was better to sit and wait the extra time, then to try and bring it in another day to do my rear brakes. Very, Very Happy with the work Kevin did on my brakes. No more pulsating or thumping and I can hit the brakes with my hands off the steering wheel and the car stops straight with no pulling to either side. Thanks Kevin!!! Pete

Great staff! Everyone is very honest about what your car needs as they will not tell you to fix something that your car does not need. I always take my car there after going to the dealership. They tend to be dishonest at times.
Ive been coming to mavis for years, and this location is the best one in my opinion, it's always quick and the service department is always nice and answers all of my questions.
