Let me start off by saying I am a repeat customer who only realized a year or so ago that Mavis can do more than just sell tires. It was my great experience last year that brought me back this year to get an oil change and a wheel alignment for my 2012 Honda Odyssey. While I was not thrilled, I was appreciative that when my wife brought the car in she was informed by the mechanic after his inspection that I desperately needed to have my shocks, struts, and one axle replaced do to leaking and some overdue maintenance work that was pushed off too long. When I returned four days later to discuss the matter with the mechanic personally, I met Reggie. I have to say, not even one second into the discussion, he recalled not only my car, but all of the details of what he had observed. I was impressed that someone who likely sees dozens of cars a week, was able to have that type of detailed recollection. Saying he understood what a shock it must be to find out one needed to fix so much at one time, he would work with me to make it as "bearable" (my word, not his) as possible. He was not kidding. Within minutes of speaking to someone in the back, I presume Bobby, the two of them working together spent quite a bit of time discussing and searching for ways to make the repairs a little more affordable. Throughout the entire process, I felt like they were giving me their all to find a great solution that effectively balanced not breaking me financially without compromising any aspect of vehicle safety or repair quality. To be frank, it was the first time in my 30 plus years of dealing with mechanics that I truly felt their were looking out for my best interests. Reaching an agreement on what to do from a repair perspective, I left letting them know I could not come back until the end of the day to pick up my car. Without asking either of them, I received an update call approximately every couple of hours letting me know how things were going. That type of personal white-glove treatment made me feel like more than just a source of revenue but a valued customer. When I showed up to pay, I was greeted with a warm welcome from both Reggie and Bobbie. Bobby then took over the check out process, and made sure that I understood everything that was done, the warranty on workmanship that comes with the work, and advised me to immediately let them know if anything didn't feel right, leaving me with the impression that I was talking to someone who really stands behind the work they do. Again, it reinforced the exceptionally high degree of customer service that it seems they were trying to convey. It is due to the type of service that Reggie and Bobby gave me, that I will be a life-long customer and champion of Mavis Tire. I will end with three small additional points to call out. The first is that when my wife dropped me off to pick up the car she specifically asked to "say hi to Bobby", I assume that was because he treated her the same way he treated me. The second point is that while I was being helped Reggie looked over at a nice couple waiting and warmly welcomed them back, their response was "of course. we love coming here and having you help us". I don't know what Reggie did for them, but I assume he treated them like he treated me. The third point I will bring up (and I hope it doesn't adversely impact either of them) is that as I was leaving Reggie mentioned that while I do not need to have it done this week (I told him I was planning on going on a little trip out of town), when I got back I should bring the car in to have my front breaks looked at. When I looked a little surprised and told him that I just had the break pads changed less than a year ago, he was quick to let me know that he think they might need to be changed soon and, if so, there is a chance the warranty may cover it. While I am not sure if it will or not, I appreciated that at least he was thinking of whether my warrant would come into play and maybe save me a couple of dollars. My old mechanic never even considered those types of things. I guess if you have read of all the above, you get what I am trying to say, but just in case it is not clear.... Reggie and Bobby are the best!!
