Michelin X-Ice Snow - Winter Studless tire
For ultimate winter traction on snow and ice. The Michelin® X-Ice™features a new generation of winter rubber coumpounds that help deliver predictable grip and performance in challenging winter driving conditions without comprimising tread life. Designed specifically for passenger cars and minivans, the Michelin Latiutude X-Ice also features Cross Z-Sipes Technology (CZST) to help bite through snow and ice. A Winter Tire with an excellent grip on snow and ice. Outstanding braking and handling.
  • The Michelin® X-Ice® Snow tire offers shorter ice and snow stopping distances thanks to the exceptional grip provided by having two types of full-depth 3D sipes. This results in an increased claw effect on snow and ice, and long-lasting biting edges.[1] Also featuring Flex-Ice 2.0 compound and MICHELIN® EverWinterGrip rubber inclusion technology for excellent ice braking, even after 3 winters[3].These inclusions will generate micro-roughness on the tire surface for enhanced traction on snow[1] and ice,[1] giving extra grip in harsh conditions, winter after winter.[3]
  • The MICHELIN® X-Ice® Snow tire offers better hydroplaning performance than its predecessors.[2] The new aggressive winter tread design with increased void ratio and V-shaped tread pattern provides increased resistance to hydroplaning and enhanced snow, slush, and wet evacuation.
  • The MICHELIN® X-Ice® Snow tire lasts up to one additional winter than the average of leading competitors.[3] The new tread design, featuring interlocking 3D sipes, Flex-Ice 2.0 compound and an innovative Evergrip Technology, delivers long wear life by providing tread block rigidity and optimizing the tire's contact with the road surface during acceleration, braking and cornering.
  • (1) New, at 10,000 km/6,000 miles, and when worn to 4 mm and 2 mm tread depth, the MICHELIN® X-Ice® SNOW tire offers shorter snow and ice stopping distances on average than its predecessor, based on third-party snow braking test (between 35 km/h / 20mi/h and 5 km/h / 3 mi/h) and ice braking test (between 30 km/h / 18 mi/h and 5 km/h / 3 mi/h), in December 2019 and January 2020: (1) on a Volkswagen® Golf 1.5 TSI comparing the MICHELIN® X-Ice® SNOW tire versus MICHELIN® X-ICE® Xi3 in tire size 205/55R16 94H XL, and (2) on a Volkswagen® Tiguan comparing the MICHELIN® X-Ice® SNOW SUV tire versus MICHELIN® Latitude®® X-ICE® Xi2 in tire size 235/55R19 105H XL.
  • (2) Based on: (1) internal hydroplaning longitudinal acceleration test performed in France in March 2019, on a Volkswagen® Golf 7 comparing the MICHELIN® X-Ice® SNOW tire versus MICHELIN® X-ICE® Xi3 in tire size 205/55R16 94H XL and on: (2) internal hydroplaning curve test performed in Japan in February 2019, on an AUDI® A4, comparing the MICHELIN® X-Ice® SNOW tire versus MICHELIN® X-ICE® Xi3 in tire size 205/55R16 94H XL.
  • (4) Based on: (1) internal hydroplaning longitudinal acceleration test performed in France in March 2019, on a Volkswagen® Golf 7 comparing the MICHELIN® X-Ice® SNOW tire versus MICHELIN® X-ICE® Xi3 in tire size 205/55R16 94H XL and on: (2) internal hydroplaning curve test performed in Japan in February 2019, on an AUDI® A4, comparing the MICHELIN® X-Ice® SNOW tire versus MICHELIN® X-ICE® Xi3 in tire size 205/55R16 94H XL.
