Continental ProContact TX Silent perform very well. I have 2 of them on the back tires. Still have 2 Michelin Pilot Sport 3 on the front, which are fantastic, but only last about 2 years for me. The Continentals are 255/40 and seem to fit the car/rims better than the 245/40 Michelin's. I can't wait to having all 4 Continentals on to make a true comparison. But so far, I'm getting similar performance driving city and highway to and from work during sun & rain in stop and go rush hour. The Continental's seem quiet, the main reason I bought them (my car has a LOT of road noise in general, not either tire's fault), and because they should last longer, but I won't know if they're quieter for sure, until they're on the front. So far, I'm very happy with the performance of them. Which is impressive because the Michelin Pilots really performed, especially in wet weather.
