"I had read previous reviews that complained that their gas mileage suffered after purchasing these tires and that they were very noisy, so I was a little nervous. I've purchased Michelin tires for other vehicles and absolutely loved them! I had a bad experience with another tire brand (they came with this vehicle), and decided to go back to Michelins. I drove on these tires for 3 months before writing this review. Yes, I initially lost fuel efficiency with the tires, most noted with city driving. After 3 or 4 weeks, my gas mileage rebounded, and is slightly improved over the previous tires. I have not noticed that the ride is "noisy"; in fact, these tires are quieter than my vehicle's original tires. They handle great on dry and wet roads, and I would definitely purchase these tires again." - Murrells Inlet, SC

I was skeptical about these tires due to the different tread design. I have been so impressed with low road noise and the handling even in wet and icy conditions. I even convinced a friend to buy the same tires for their car.

I know nearly nothing about tires, but I have driven nearly 1M miles over the last 22 years. I chose these tires because they kept coming up by name on the Subaru enthusiasts' forums and discussion boards. They are excellent, possibly the best tires I've ever had on a vehicle. Aggressive tread design, but very smooth on highways. Very stable in cornering, grippy in light ice. I haven't had the chance to drive them in snow but I expect them to perform adequately.
