Haven't tried off-road/mudding, but on muddy dirt roads their traction is excellent. On highways their a little noisy and give a bit of vibration, but just a mild hum like most good all terrain tires do.

Overall, very happy so far. A few days after purchase we went on a 1200 mile round-trip to North Georgia. Tires performed flawlessly in light rain, heavy rain, and even some light snow and ice situations. The true test for me, (the reason I bought them) was they easily handled some of the difficult steep unpaved roads and driveways in the North Ga. Mountains. I had a couple of scary issues in the past with my previous road tires. The Grapplers never lost traction in those same situations. That, made it all worth while. As far as noise, of course they are louder than the Michelin Defender road tires that I took off, but it's negligible and the grip makes it well worth the trade off. Too early to tell about tread wear and longevity but as of right now, I am super pleased and would buy again. 07 Tundra 5.7 2wd.
