There is such a difference between Pirelli and other brands. It's like having a new car, the softer rubber for ride and traction along with being so much quieter is why I prefer Pirelli's through the years. Also the rubber don't get real hard and slippery over time like the other brands. They wear a tad quicker, but that don't matter as the other brands that wear for 80K miles usually have no grip in the wet weather after a few years and become very dangerous so you get rid of them way before the 80K miles unless you put 30K myiles/yr. You can't beat Pirelli's, and you notice the difference right away. I have 55yrs of driving and buying tires and this is what I have noticed.
