I've had two cars for years and have put only 5000-6000 miles / year on my 2009 Subaru Forester since I bought it new. By the time I had 66,000 miles on the original tires, I replaced 3 of them (had to replace one tire 1-2 years ago due to picking up a huge bolt while driving on the highway; can't blame Yokohama for that). due to a persistent rim leak on one of the tires, of which I'm sure was due to the three tires being 15 years old at this point.
HOLY COW - I got 66,000 miles on the tires and am convinced that after looking at the remaining tread on the three tires, I could've gone another 3,000-4,000 miles on ‘em.
The Yoko's are excellent: very good handling in dry / wet / snowy road conditions in the four-wheel drivetrain of my Subaru. Highly recommend the tires.
The folks at NTB / Mavis were terrific:
- helped me with a better price than other tire dealers
- got the tires in quickly, got the appointment scheduled quickly, and installation was very quickly done
- the service tech misund

No tire is good in ice unless it has chains or studs. We haven't had any snow so I can't say anything about snow or ice yet. It's August.

Tires are great! Same one's that came with the car upon purchase, wore very well so I went with the same brand. Not too happy with Mavis trying to sell me F/R brakes. 10,000 miles later same brakes, still good.
